LYNWOOD >> A man and a woman were killed Monday moing when their vehicle drove off the 710 Freeway and struck a tree in Lynwood, authorities said. The crash was reported at 4:42 a.m. off the northbound 710 Freeway just south of Imperial Highway, said Califoia Highway Patrol Officer Stephan Brandt. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene, Brandt said. Firefighters were working to extricate the bodies from the vehicle. A 21-year-old Reno woman spending her first day in Los Angeles plunged to her death Friday from a cliff at Point Fermin in San Pedro, police said. The accident occurred about 2:15 p.m. in the 500 block of West Paseo del Mar. The woman, who had just moved to Califoia from Nevada, asked her new roommate to take her to the beach.
