LYNWOOD >> A man and a woman were killed Monday moing when their vehicle drove off the 710 Freeway and struck a tree in Lynwood, authorities said. The crash was reported at 4:42 a.m. off the northbound 710 Freeway just south of Imperial Highway, said Califoia Highway Patrol Officer Stephan Brandt. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene, Brandt said. Firefighters were working to extricate the bodies from the vehicle. LONG BEACH — The southbound lanes of the Long Beach (710) Freeway were closed at the San Diego (405) Freeway this moing because of a vehicle collision that involved several big rigs and left one person critically injured, the Califoia Highway Patrol reported. The accident was reported around 12:30 a.m. and involved at least three big rigs, CHP Officer Francisco Villalobos said. Two trapped motorists were rescued and taken to nearby hospitals. A motorcyclist died Wednesday evening in a collision in Central Long Beach. Long Beach Police Department spokeswoman Marlene Arrona confirmed the motorcyclist died after responding police officers attempted to save his life by providing first aid.
