Man, woman killed after crashing into tree off 710 Freeway in Lynwood

    LYNWOOD >> A man and a woman were killed Monday moing when their vehicle drove off the 710 Freeway and struck a tree in Lynwood, authorities said. The crash was reported at 4:42 a.m. off the northbound 710 Freeway just south of Imperial Highway, said Califoia Highway Patrol Officer Stephan Brandt. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene, Brandt said. Firefighters were working to extricate the bodies from the vehicle.     FlyAway airport shuttle service between LAX and Santa Monica will be discontinued immediately after Labor Day weekend. The Santa Monica service will stop ruing at midnight on Tuesday. Airport commissioners voted earlier this summer to end service for the Santa Monica route due to low ridership, according to Los Angeles World Airports spokesman Charles Paunzio.
