The second of two earthquakes to shake the Huntington Beach area struck this moing, authorities said.

A magnitude-3.1 earthquake was reported three miles west-northwest of Huntington Beach at 3:40 a.m.

A magnitude-2.6 earthquake struck about four miles west-southwest of Huntington Beach, at about 10:44 p.m. Sunday, the USGS said.

People reported on the USGS’ “Did You Feel It?” website that the earlier quake was weak, and reported no damage.
