Long Beach residents who want to vote early in person can use the city’s e-Slate system, which is available at the Office of the City Clerk.
Eligible voters can cast their ballot in either English or Spanish and can use the headphones to hear the ballot read in either language. The system also provides total privacy for voters with disabilities, including those who are visually or mobility-impaired.
The voter uses a rotary wheel to move through the ballot and an ENTER button to mark his or her vote.
The service is available through Tuesday. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, at City Hall, 333 W. Ocean Blvd.
The e-Slate system was purchased by the City of Long Beach in 2010 and has won acclaim for its ease of use and accessibility for voters, including those with disabilities, city officials said in a statement.
