Pedestrian hit by car in North Long Beach

Long Beach Boulevard between 53rd and Market streets was shut down Monday moing due to a traffic collision that sent a pedestrian to the hospital.

Police shut down both directions of Long Beach Boulevard after a traffic collision involving a vehicle and an adult pedestrian was reported around 6:06 a.m.

Long Beach Fire Department persoel transported the pedestrian to a local hospital, according to authorities.

Long Beach Boulevard between 53rd and Market streets was shut down until about 8:50 a.m. Monday.

An investigation is ongoing.
