2 storms bringing rain, possible thunderstorms to Southern California through weekend

LOS ANGELES >> The National Weather Service says Southe Califoia will experience showers and possible thunderstorms over several days.

The first system is forecast to bring a slight chance of showers Thursday moing, increasing during the afteoon and evening.

The second system will be more substantial, arriving Friday and peaking Saturday. Showers will taper off Sunday.

Los Angeles has had less than half its normal rainfall so far this season despite the strong El Nino warming of the Pacific Ocean.
