Man in grave condition following fall from San Pedro cliff

A man was reported in grave condition today after falling from a cliff at Point Fermin in San Pedro, firefighters said.

Los Angeles Fire Department divers on a boat reached the man at the base of the 100-foot cliff in the 800 block of Paseo del Mar shortly after noon. He was not moving.

The man was to be hoisted to a LAFD helicopter to be taken to a hospital.
