Coachella 2016: Here's how festival-goers can escape the desert heat

Want to escape the heat at Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, then head to The Cabin.

That’s right, a cabin was built on site and comes complete with a stone fireplace – and a digital screen for faux fire – and a wrap around porch with plenty of space to lounge and enjoy craft cocktails.

Located across from the Craft Beer Ba, the mountain escape pop-up bar is the brainchild of the Houston Brothers, who operate several Los Angeles bars, including No Vacancy.

Craft drinks include the Strawberry Paloma, an absinthe-infused drink with grapefruit and pepper; and the Coconut Mule, which features coconut-infused vodka, lime, and soda. If the heat gets too much, you can opt for one of the boozy snow cones, which have either oaked vodka, gin and tequila.

The brothers even brought in a Japanese ice shaver for the snow cones.
