Deputies investigating Norwalk shooting

Authorities are investigating a shooting in Norwalk that left a man hospitalized early Saturday.

Deputies were called at 12:42 a.m. to a shooting in the 14000 block of Pioneer Boulevard, said Sgt. Anthony Feandez, of the Norwalk Sheriff’s Station. The victim, an adult man, was transported to a hospital where he underwent surgery and is now listed in stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing, Feandez said. Authorities are looking into whether the shooting was gang related.

No suspect was positively identified as of 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
