A man was found dead in a car parked in the lot of a Best Weste Hotel in San Pedro on Saturday moing.
Los Angeles police detectives were trying to determine whether the death was a case of suicide or homicide, a sergeant said.
The body was discovered in a vehicle parked at the Best Weste Plus Hotel and Suites at 111 S. Gaffey St. about 2:30 a.m., said LAPD Sgt. Paula Davidson, watch commander at Harbor Division.
“We have detectives on their way to the location and they will determine whether it’s a homicide or suicide,” Davidson said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
No other details were immediately available.
