Fight breaks out at protest over LAUSD's gender-neutral bathroom

LOS ANGELES — Students tussled with adult demonstrators outside a Los Angeles high school that recently opened a gender-neutral bathroom.

KABC-TV reports that a small crowd gathered Tuesday across from Santee Education Complex hoisting signs and chanting slogans protesting the new bathroom.

Los Angeles school police said after classes were dismissed, several students crossed the street and confronted the protesters.

Police said some students began throwing objects at the protesters, and then a fight occurred.
