The Long Beach Police Department SWAT team is responding to a barricade situation in an apartment in the 1700 block of Coronado Avenue near the Traffic Circle.
Police initially were dispatched around 7:54 a.m. Tuesday to a possible burglary at the location.
Officers leaed of a resident’s ex-boyfriend who was unwelcome in the apartment, and is wanted for parole violation, authorities said. Officers believed the man was inside and ordered him out, but no one responded to their commands, according to the Police Department.
The SWAT team was then sent out in response to a possible barricaded suspect situation.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
