Police are investigating a non-fatal shooting in Long Beach’s Washington neighborhood Wednesday.
Officers responded to a shooting call at 12:53 p.m. near 16th Street and Pine Avenue, said Sgt. Bradley Johnson, a police spokesman, in an email. Upon arrival they found an adult man suffering a gunshot wound to his lower torso.
The man was uncooperative, and gave limited information, Johnson said. Long Beach Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to a hospital.
The shooting is being investigated as possibly gang related, he said.
