Woman, 25, dies on 105 Freeway crash in Willowbrook

WILLOWBROOK — A woman was fatally injured today in a two-vehicle crash on the Gle Anderson (105) Freeway in the Willowbrook area of the county.

Karen Salazar, 25, died at the scene of the collision, which occurred about 4 a.m. on the westbound 105 at Central Avenue.

“One car spun out and a second car hit that one,” said Califoia Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball.

The other driver was transported to Gardena Memorial Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries, he said.

Coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter said Salazar’s hometown was not known.

The crash shut down the No. 1, 2 and 3 lanes, and traffic was diverted off the freeway at Wilmington Avenue. All lanes were reopened at 6:10 a.m., the CHP reported.
