Firefighters knock down Paramount RV fire near Long Beach

Los Angeles County firefighters put out an RV fire in Paramount near the border with Long Beach and Bellflower Friday afteoon.

Firefighters were called to the scene near the intersection of Downey Avenue and 70th Street at 12:01 p.m., said Inspector Richie Licon, a fire department spokesman. They arrived at the scene five minutes later and saw flames shooting out from under the RV.

One Long Beach Fire Department engine responded to the scene in addition to Los Angeles County units, Licon said.

No firefighters or civilians were injured in the fire, he said.

Units were at the scene until 12:52 p.m. mopping up.
