Long Beach police are investigating a non-fatal shooting in the MacArthur Park neighborhood that left one man injured shortly before 2 a.m. Tuesday.
Officers were dispatched at 1:59 a.m. to a shooting call in the 1500 block of Walnut Avenue, said Sgt. Bradley Johnson, a police spokesman, in an email. They found an adult man suffering a gunshot wound to his lower torso at the scene.
The man was transported to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries, Johnson said. The investigation continues.
