Three women were found dead today at a home in Hawaiian Gardens, where three deputies were also transported to an area hospital after they were overwhelmed by chemical fumes.
The scene is being investigated as a homicide.

Two women were found in a closed detached garage where a car was ruing, according to LA Sheriff’s Lt. Steve Jauch. The other woman was found dead in a bedroom by a relative who came to check on her because she hadn’t heard from her in awhile. All three women appeared to live in the house and might have been related, Jauch said. Their names have not been released.
The relative called for help and deputies were dispatched at 7:38 a.m. to the at 11800 block of 223rd St. where they discovered the bodies in the garage, Jauch said.
A strong chemical smell in the garage overwhelmed deputies and paramedics rushed three to an area hospital, according to Jauch. He described their condition as “not serious,” but said two of the deputies remained at the hospital.
A hazmat team cleared the garage of danger, but the chemical smell has not been identified, according to Jauch at an afteoon press conference.
