Beie Sanders supporters clashed with Hillary Clinton backers Thursday during a rally outside East Los Angeles College, where the former secretary of state was set to speak.

About 200 protesters held signs calling Clinton a “liar” and saying she doesn’t belong in the White House because she and presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump don’t represent the working class.

Many chanted “Hillary must go!” during the protest, as mounted deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department looked on.

One woman in the crowd held a yellow sign saying “enough lying” in Spanish.

Inside the event, Clinton began her speech a short time later by attacking Trump instead of Sanders.

“The kind of language coming from Donald Trump is hateful and we need to repudiate it,” Clinton said, adding that she plaed to back programs that supported a comprehensive immigration plan. The former secretary of state added that she would hold up the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) or Deferred Action for Parents of Americans (DAPA).

“We are nation of immigrants and I’m proud of it,” Clinton said. “Our diversity is one of our strengths.”

Her visit to the East L.A. campus was part of the intense battle between Clinton and Sanders for the Califoia’s 475 delegates just before early primary voting gets underway Monday.

Former President Bill Clinton spoke in Los Angeles on behalf of his wife at the Grand Suite Hotel on Wednesday and he also will deliver the commencement speech for undergraduates at Loyola Marymount University on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Sanders had surrogates speaking for him at UC Irvine and Cal State Long Beach on Wednesday, including Oscar-wiing actress Susan Sarandon.

Before Clinton’s appearance, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti took a swipe at Trump.

“Donald Trump is obsessed with his own fortune,” Garcetti told the crowd. “I don’t want a president who is obsessed with the size of his hands. I want a president who is obsessed with (the) size of our middle class.”
