LA is going purple Friday night to remember Prince.

A musical tribute for the superstar performer, who died April 21, is kicking off at 5 p.m., featuring a roster of popular R&B singers who will rock into the night.

Among them, Prince collaborators The Time will perform, along with Faith Evans, Key Lattimore, Eric Benet and Aloe Blacc.

The concert is scheduled to run from 5 to 8 p.m. on Los Angeles City Hall’s South Lawn, and it will likely tie up traffic for downtown commuters. Residents are being urged to take Metro to the Grand Park/Civic Center station.

Spring Street between Temple and First was set to be closed starting at 8 a.m. in preparation for the event, traffic officials said. The street will re-open after 9 p.m.
