Desert Trip: General admission tickets sold out for mega concerts

INDIO >> What organizers dubbed as a once-in-a-lifetime concert is happening twice. General admission tickets have sold out for both weekends of Desert Trip, which will run Oct. 7-9 and Oct. 14-16 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, with The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Roger Waters and The Who.

Tickets went on sale for both weekends at 10 a.m. Pacific Monday, May 9, shortly after concert promoter Goldenvoice aounced a second weekend due to popular demand.

Fans logged online and sat in a waiting room while seeking tickets.

Around 12:25 p.m., a message on the ticket queue waiting screen said that general admission tickets (both three day and one day passes with and without shuttle access) and the high-end standing pit tickets were sold out for both weekends.

However, there were still some reserved seats, premium seats and travel packages available.
