If you went to Coachella this year, you probably lost something.
I, for instance, lost an iPhone charger, some hearing ability and my lunch once, thanks to a nearby port-a-potty and a gust of wind.
But if you’re more normal and lost a pair of sunglasses or your drivers licence, you may be in luck.
Someone is using the website Crowdfind.com, which bills itself as “the world’s first virtual lost and found,” in an attempt to reunite you with your lost items. It appears as though Coachella’s organizer Goldenvoice is ruing the bins, but I’ve reached out to them to double check.
There are two Coachella “bins” on Crowdfind, one for each weekend of the festival. Each is filled with images of lost drivers licences, sunglasses, car keys, backpacks, phones, GoPros, wallets and other things left over from the festival’s lost and found.
If you look through the roughly 500 items in each bin and find something that belongs to you, just click the button to claim the item and you’ll be coected with the person who has your stuff.
If you don’t find your item, you can file a claim and provide a report of the missing item, then the page administrator will do his or her best to look for it.
So, what are you waiting for? Go get your ID back!
