Man killed in Norwalk crash on 605 Freeway onramp

NORWALK – A man, about 30 years-old, was killed when his car overtued on an onramp leading to the 605 Freeway in Norwalk this moing, according to the Califoia Highway Patrol.

The crash on the Firestone Boulevard onramp to the northbound 605 Freeway Occurred at 3:50 a.m., according to CHP Officer Tony Polizzi.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was withheld pending notification of next of kin. No other vehicles were involved.

The crash has shut down the Firestone Boulevard onramp during the investigation, Polizzi said. A SigAlert was declared at 4:47 a.m. by the CHP. The ramp was expected to remain shut down until at least 7 a.m.
