Motorcyclist shot to death is Wilmington man, 34

WILMINGTON — Authorities today identified a motorcyclist who was shot to death in Wilmington.

The shooting happened about 11:30 p.m. Sunday at D Street and Gulf Avenue, said Sgt. G. Pinel of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Harbor Station. The man was on a motorcycle when he was shot.

Julio Cesar Pena, 34, of Wilmington, died at the scene, coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter said.
