The Califoia Highway Patrol has issued a Sig Alert for a single-vehicle crash on the northbound 605 Freeway near Carson Street in Long Beach.
The Sig Alert was issued at 11:57 a.m. and is expected to last an hour and a half, according to the CHP’s online incident report website.
CHP received a call about the crash at 11:32 a.m. said Officer Kevin Tao, a spokesman for the department. Initial reports described a single vehicle that crashed into a tree at the right shoulder. The crash has blocked the right two lanes on the freeway.
A tow truck has been requested and Long Beach Fire Department persoel were dispatched to the scene.
Whether anyone was injured in the crash was not known as of 11:45 a.m., Tao said. An electrical box was knocked out during the crash and CalTrans persoel have also been requested at the scene.
