Police are investigating a shooting that left a man injured in West Long Beach early Thursday moing.
Officers were called at 3:03 a.m. to help Long Beach Fire Department persoel in the 1900 block of West Willow Street, said Marlene Arrona, a police spokeswoman, in an email. Once at the scene, they encountered a man suffering a gunshot wound.
Fire Department persoel transported the man to a hospital, Arrona said. His injury did not appear to be life threatening.
An investigation into the shooting continues.
