The Califoia Highway Patrol issued an hour-long Sig Alert for the eastbound 91 Freeway west of Downey Avenue in Long Beach after a multi-vehicle crash snarled traffic and blocked lanes.
The Sig Alert was issued at 11:39 a.m., said CHP Officer Edgar Figueroa. It affects the carpool lane as well as lanes three lanes of traffic.
The crash involving four or five vehicles happened around 11:20 a.m., according to the CHP’s incident report website.
Long Beach Fire Department persoel transported two patients who suffered minor injuries, said Brian Fisk, a department spokesman.
