Man injured when he falls down cliff at Point Fermin in San Pedro

SAN PEDRO >> A man suffered multiple injuries when he fell down a cliff at Point Fermin in San Pedro, authorities said.

The fall was reported at 9:09 p.m. Sunday at the cliff in the 800 block of West Paseo del Mar, Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

Firefighters responded “by air, land and sea,” Humphrey said.

Rescuers were with the fallen man and a department helicopter was expected to hoist him to safety, he said.
