Authorities identify man killed in shooting near downtown Long Beach late Tuesday

A 27-year-old Long Beach man was killed during a shooting in Long Beach’s Willmore City neighborhood late Tuesday night, police said this afteoon.

Jesus Feandez was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting in the 1200 block of Loma Vista Drive, police said.

Officers were dispatched to a call of shots heard around 11:15 p.m. and found Feandez in the street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso, said Marlene Arrona, a Long Beach Police Department spokeswoman, in an email.

No information regarding any possible suspect or suspects was available Wednesday moing, Arrona said. The investigation continues.
