Sheriffs shoot, wound man in Paramount

PARAMOUNT - Sheriff’s deputies shot and wounded one man and took another into custody, authorities said today.

It occurred just before 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Somerset Boulevard and Gundry Avenue, according to Deputy Mike Barraza of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

The circumstances remain under investigation, and the condition of the wounded suspect was not known, Barraza said. Anyone with information was asked to call the sheriff’s Homicide Bureau(323) 890-5500. Anonymous tips can be made to Crime Stoppers (800) 222-8477.
