Woman stabbed near downtown Long Beach in fight with another woman

A woman was stabbed in the upper body early this moing in a fight with another woman near downtown Long Beach police said.

Police responded at 12:09 a.m. to a call for service near East 7th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, said Long Beach police Lt. Mark Coble. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening and was displaying stable vital signs, he said.

There were no immediate arrests, Coble said.
