3 killed in multi-car crash on 91 Freeway in Artesia

ARTESIA – Three people were killed today in a multi-vehicle collision on the westbound 91 Freeway in Artesia.

A man believed to be in his 30s, and two people who could not be identified, were killed in the collision, according to Califoia Highway Patrol Officer Alex Rubio.

It occurred just west of Pioneer Boulevard and was reported at 1 a.m., Rubio said.

It was not immediately clear how many vehicles were involved, Rubio said.

A SigAlert was issued, and three lanes will be closed for about two hours while coroner’s officials survey the scene, Rubio said.
