LOS ANGELES >> The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped six-tenths of a cent Sunday to $2.946, the fifth consecutive decrease after rising to its highest amount since Jan. 14.
The average price is 3.1 cents less than a week ago and 71 cents lower than one year ago but 5.9 cents more than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The Orange County average price dropped for the fourth consecutive day, decreasing seven-tenths of a cent today to $2.934. It is 3.2 cents less than one week ago and 69.1 cents lower than one year ago but 7.3 cents higher than one month ago.
