Find out how many people were arrested for DUI during a weekend saturation patrol in Long Beach

Long Beach police officers arrested two people for driving under the influence during a saturation patrol that took place from Saturday evening until early Sunday moing.

Traffic officers assigned to the patrol worked from 6 p.m. Saturday until 2 a.m. Sunday.

The results:

• Two arrests for driving under the influence.

• Officers issued 10 tickets for unsafe driving

• One driver received a citation for driving with a revoked or suspended license.

Long Beach Police Department commanders plan to conduct a DUI checkpoint on July 23.

Police officials drew upon a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration grant awarded through the Califoia Office of Traffic Safety to pay for this past weekend’s saturation patrol.
