Michigan governor says courthouse is secured after shots are fired

ST. JOSEPH, Mich. (AP) — Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder says state police have secured the scene after shots were fired at southweste Michigan courthouse.

No other details were available on injuries. But Snyder tweeted that he was praying for those affected.

St. Joseph is located in far southweste Michigan’s Berrien County, which borders Indiana.

State police Lt. Mike Shaw says the department is in gathering information but could not confirm whether there are any casualties.
