NORWALK >> A man who pointed a gun at a handyman working inside a vacant house Monday may be barricaded inside the building, authorities said.
A SWAT team from the Sheriff’s Norwalk Station is trying to determine if the suspect is still inside the house on the 12000 block of Crewe Street, Sgt. George Suarez said.
The victim called the sheriff’s station at 1:53 p.m. to report a man with a gun on the property, Suarez said.
“He did not know why the man pointed the gun at him,” Suarez said.
The handyman, who said he last saw the suspect inside the home, was safely outside with sheriff’s persoel.
“At this point we do not know if anyone is inside,” Suarez said. “We have had no contact with the suspect.”
This is the second time the same man threatened the handyman.
On July 8, the victim called sheriff’s about a man with a gun, Suarez said.
The man left the scene before deputies arrived.
