County leaders extend reward for information in 2014 shooting death in Long Beach

The Board of Supervisors Tuesday renewed a $10,000 reward for information that leads to arrests in a 2014 Long Beach parking lot shooting that left one man dead and three other people wounded.

Supervisor Don Knabe recommended extending the reward, which had been set to expire July 15 and will now be available for at least another 90 days.

Charles Bell was fatally wounded in the March 23, 2014, shooting that occurred just before 3 a.m. in the parking lot of a Dey’s restaurant at 601 Long Beach Blvd.

Knabe said witnesses were able to provide a physical description of the suspects and the vehicle used in the shooting, but detectives say they have exhausted those leads and are still seeking the public’s help.
