Saturday was expected to be the day for the unveiling of the mural painted by Los Angeles artist James Haunt for the city-wide Pow! Wow! art event, but a family emergency kept Haunt from finishing his mural.
Haunt expects the mural to be completed by Monday.
The mural is his representation of the images on the Mexican flag and features a golden eagle with a rattlesnake in its beak and painted in hues of blue.
The mural is on the side of La Bodega #1 market at 6001 Atlantic Avenue.
