Find out the results of DUI checkpoint in Long Beach Saturday night

Long Beach police arrested two people on suspicion of driving drunk at a checkpoint this weekend in downtown Long Beach.

The checkpoint, from 7 p.m. Saturday and 3 a.m. Sunday at Ocean Boulevard and Chestnut Place, netted the following statistics.

• 565 vehicles screened

• Four field sobriety tests performed

• Two DUI-alcohol suspects arrested

• 11 drivers cited/arrested for operating a vehicle unlicensed or while suspended/revoked

• Seven citations issued for unsafe driving

The operation was funded through a grant from the Califoia Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
