Long Beach police investigating Bixby Knolls bank robbery

Long Beach police are investigating a bank robbery in Bixby Knolls Tuesday evening.

Officers responded to a bank robbery call at 4:25 p.m. in the 3900 block of Atlantic Avenue, said Nancy Pratt, a police spokeswoman, in an email. An adult man entered the bank, passed the teller a note and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

No weapon was seen, Pratt said.

The department’s Robbery Detail will be working with the FBI on the investigation, which is ongoing, she said.
