COMPTON >> A man was shot and killed in an unincorporated area bordering Compton, authorities said Saturday.
The shooting was reported at 9:08 p.m. Friday in the 2600 block of East 129th Street, near Alameda Street, according to Deputy Lisa Jansen of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
The victim was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, Jansen said.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.
