Michael Phelps will swim the butterfly leg of the 4x100 meter medley relay for USA in what is expected to be his final Olympic race. On the track, reigning world champion Allyson Felix will represent Team USA when she competes in the first round of the women’s 400 meters while two-time defending champion Usain Bolt, of Jamaica, competes in the men’s 100 meters event.
