How and when to watch the 2016 Oscars

It’s Oscars Sunday! Here’s everything you need to know about watching the 88th Academy Awards.

The Red Carpet

• “ET at the Oscars: Live on Pop!” hosted by Nancy O’Dell and Kevin Frazier begins at 2 p.m. on the Pop Network (formerly the TV Guide chael)

• “E! Live from the Red Carpet” hosted by Ryan Seacrest and Giuliana Rancic begins at 2:30 p.m. on E!

• “Live from the Oscars” hosted by local newscasters from KTLA begins at 3 p.m. on chael 5.

• “Oscars Opening Ceremony: Live from the Red Carpet” hosted by Robin Roberts and Michael Strahan begins at 4 p.m. on ABC.

The Show

The 88th Academy Awards broadcast will begin at 5:30 p.m. PST on ABC, which is chael 7 for Los Angeles viewers.

Chris Rock will host the 3-hour long show but it may run a bit longer, you know, depending on how long those acceptance speeches go.

If you’re a cord-cutter

If you’re not a cable subscriber or if you don’t have a TV, you can still see all the dazzle and controversy of the Oscars.

ABC is streaming the show live on http://abc.go.com/watch-live and on its Watch ABC app. You’ll need to provide your location information and your (or a generous friend’s) cable provider information.
