Power outage: 1,300 customers in Long Beach, Signal Hill

An equipment failure has knocked out electrical power to about 1,300 Southe Califoia Edison customers in Long Beach and Signal Hill.

The power failure happened around 9:13 a.m., according to an aouncement by Signal Hill police. SCE is working to restore power.

In Signal Hill, the outage is affecting an area located south of Willow Street between Walnut and Redondo avenues, police said. The area of Long Beach affected was not immediately available.

The power outage is expected to be resolved today in the late evening hours, police said.

Residents affected by the power outage are encourage to download the Southe Califoia Edison “MY SCE” app for Android or iPhone to get updated information.
