LOS ANGELES — Strong winds are persisting across parts of Southe Califoia a day after severe thunderstorms moved through.
The National Weather Service says the winds will be felt through Tuesday moing in mountains, valleys and desert areas.
Forecasters say gusts in some areas could reach 50 mph. They wa that driving could be dangerous, especially for high-profile vehicles.
The winds are accompanied by large and potentially dangerous surf conditions on west-facing beaches. Officials are waing of waves topping 18 feet, rip currents and possible minor flooding in low-lying areas.
