Bernardino detectives seize meth in La Puente drug bust

SAN BERNARDINO >> Police arrested three men in La Puente on Thursday after finding several pounds of methamphetamine following a traffic stop.

Undercover narcotics detectives were working a surveillance operation that led them to the La Puente home, San Beardino police said Friday.

The detectives decided to pull the car over and that’s when they found a hidden panel filled with several pounds of methamphetamine.

When officers served a search warrant on the home, they seized a total of 63 pounds of methamphetamine, three reportedly stolen handguns, one assault rifle along with five pounds of heroin and $85,000 cash.

In another case, detectives arrested a Long Beach man on suspicion of possessing 415 pounds of marijuana.

All three suspects — Anthony Robles, 26, of La Puente, Alfredo Molina, 29, of La Puente, and Augustine Valenzuela, 32, of Long Beach — were arrested and booked into Los Angeles County Jail, according to police.
