Cooler weather and a roomier waterfront venue will greet the three-day Port of Los Angeles Lobster Festival when the aual San Pedro tradition opens Friday, more than two months earlier than usual. Since 1999, the festival has been staged in and around Ports O’ Call Village. But with plans underway to realign Sampson Way as the port prepares to redevelop that area, the Lobster Festival was moved north.
